I’ve realized that the term shifting has become a term of everyday life for me, sort of like the word ‘water.’
Literally, it is that common.
I forget that some of you are new to this world so when I say ‘shift,’ some of you have no idea what I’m talking about. So let me explain: You have all of these feelings, right? These feelings can sway in many different directions and leave you feeling everything but grounded. It is not uncommon to feel like you’re alone through this process of change but you are absolutely not alone. What you are is shifting.
Shifting is when you are raising into a higher state of consciousness.
(What the bleep does that mean?!)
Raising into a higher level of consciousness means that you are beginning to have your soul drive the vehicle instead of your mind. Well, I’m human. Don’t I need my brain? Yes, of course, you do! Let me explain. Some of you probably have heard the term ‘ego’, especially if you’ve heard some of my videos or taken part in any of my programs. When I first heard the term, it was many moons ago and I associated ego with being arrogant, cocky, and an asshole. That’s what I thought ego was. I didn’t know there was anything else to it, so some of you may get thrown off course when people talk about ego because you’re thinking, “What? I’m not an asshole! I’m not arrogant. If anything, I’m insecure. How is that ego?”
I have since learned that the ego is the mind. The mind then breaks down into your emotions, feelings, insecurities, judgments, selfishness, and so on. The mind is comprised of positive and negative qualities. When I use the term ‘mind’ in a negative way, I’m referring to those qualities that become obstacles and keep us from moving forward. These can be situations, feelings, emotions, personality traits, etc.
The negative factors are those thoughts of judgment or insecurity that tell you that you can’t do something because you haven’t done it before, you can’t leave your physically abusive relationship, you shouldn’t quit the job that’s been fucking you over. The negative qualities of your ego debilitate you and when you give in to them, you aren’t using your voice. You aren’t speaking your truth. Imagine having an angel on one shoulder and a little devil on the other. The angel is your voice of encouragement. She cheers you on and tells you that you can do it! The damned devil, on the other hand, keeps pulling you back and telling you that you suck!
Everybody’s shifting, right?
Sometimes, we’re so focused on this world that we forget we have the little angel at all so we end up just listening to the guy over here who keeps telling us that we suck ass. We listen to him because our shadows make us vulnerable. These shadows are skeletons in our closets and can stem from an experience that has happened to us as far back as our time in the womb to as recent as this very moment. The experiences don’t have to be profound or traumatic for them to affect us in profound and traumatic ways and their effects will begin to leak into our everyday lives. There’s a lot of heart and pain in there. You can’t keep skipping over and ignoring that part. That’s important. We don’t just keep painting over the spot of mold.
In this day and age, human beings seem to not carry a strong sense of self-worth, and that’s why there’s such an excessive amount of lightworkers and people like me. I have to be an ordinary being for you to understand me and to be able to accept what you are so that you can then help others realize how worthy you actually are.
How do you embark on your transformation journey?
As I said before, when we shift, we are raising our level of consciousness, our level of awareness. That means you will act more from your soul body. The soul is not the only acting force; it’s the merging of soul, mind, emotion, personality, and all parts of you. This is where it gets to become a very muddled, gray area and why this transformation and this world can be so confusing. It was confusing for me because the reality is that there’s not going to be any other person in the entire world other than yourself that will go through the process of your shifts, which are your own personal changes.
Through this process for me, I wanted results yesterday. I’m telling you now, that’s not realistic so don’t add that pressure to an already exhausting journey. To those of you looking to go into the spiritual realm because it seems as though everyone is happy, I can tell you that they weren’t always that way. I had to begin with the nitty gritty first. Starting with myself is the only reason why everything else could to come into form. I speak a lot from spirit because I have merged, I am a cohesive unit, so I don’t really have too much separation in my life, so spirit comes through me because I am spirit. Now, I act more out of oneness.
How do you begin this transformational shift?
First, accept that life is a journey. Your life is your journey. We all accept the good parts of our journeys because that is when we can be completely proud of ourselves and our current states, our accomplishments, our goals, and we love ourselves easier. But our self-love can’t be dependent on our good times because, let’s face it, many parts of our life journeys are going to fucking suck!
We have to learn to love ourselves in these times too. We can do this by surrendering to our journey. SURRENDERING IS NOT GIVING UP AND GIVING IN. Surrendering is telling yourself, “I am exactly where I need to be and it will ultimately get me where I want to go.” You say it, you feel it, and you whole-heartedly accept it. You may be sleeping on your sister’s couch, you may be going through a divorce, you may have negative $2 in your bank account, and life could be a bag of shit bombs right now. It’s literally just accepting where you are. It’s okay to say, “F**k, I feel like shit today. I’ve been feeling like shit all month. I really want things to change but I’m so tired. Here I am, now what? What do I do now?”
I’ll tell you what you do:
That’s when everything starts to happen and unfold. In choosing yourself, you awaken your soul which then emerges. I find that as the soul is awakening, it’s soothing because it’s authentic.
What are you hiding behind? Have you been portraying your life as though you have your shit together but, in actuality, it’s fucking chaotic and in shambles? That’s not integrity; that’s an illusion. You don’t have to tell people about your shadows, your problems, or your current situation but don’t act like something you’re not. You don’t have to tell everyone that you’re mooching off of your sister but don’t tell them that you bought a $1,000 handbag either, especially if you charged it on a credit card. Don’t brag about shit that isn’t real. Why can’t you just be yourself? What is it that you don’t like about yourself? Why don’t you believe in yourself?
Know your worth.
Believe in yourself. Know that you are worthy of everything you desire. Love yourself for who you are right now and where you are in this moment of your journey. Love yourself for who you will be when you emerge on the other side of your crappy situation. Form a belief system centered around God, Jesus, Buddha, Allah, whomever you believe in, trust, truth, integrity, and, of course, the biggest energy, love. If you believe in no one or nothing else, then believe in yourself. Open yourself up to reveal the light within you. You don’t have to find it or create it; it’s already present. The light that you’re desiring is your soul that’s wanting to come out and be present, wanting to interact and merge with your human self. It doesn’t want to be in the background; it wants to co-exist with you.
I hope you all learned something new or received some clarification on things. Maybe you just heard exactly what you needed to hear today.
The world needs you to keep choosing yourself. When we choose ourselves, we help the world. Remember that.
Peace, love, and happiness
